Most holidaymakers idle away time with a good read, some sounds or a dip in the sea. But not Wayne Rooney.

The Manchester United striker appears to have only two things on his mind during his summer break in Barbados... his new hair and Twitter.

Rooney has used the social networking site to keep his followers up to date with the progress of his locks following his hair transplant in London.

And he tweeted on Thursday: 'The new hair is coming on people. Swelling gone down.'

Sir Alex will be pleased.
