Vidic is staying put at Old Trafford, insists United defender's agent
Nemanja Vidic's agent has dismissed talk of the Manchester United captain leaving Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old Serbia defender has been linked with a move away from England - Juventus the latest club reportedly interested - despite being a key part of Sir Alex Ferguson's side and having three years left on his contract.
However, his agent Silvano Martina has rejected any talk of a summer exit after asking the player if he wanted a move.
Happy: Defender Nemanja Vidic is not interested in moving to Italy and intends to remain at Manchester United
Vidic told Radio Sportiva: 'He's a player that everyone wants. I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he replied, "I am the captain of Manchester United, earning well, I've won almost everything... Why should I go to Italy right now, when Italian football is going through a turbulent period?" This response removes any doubt about where his future lies - he stays where he is.'
Cup and away: Vidic lifts the Barclays Premier League trophy following United's championship success in May
Vidic joined United from Spartak Moscow in January 2006 and signed a fresh four-year contract last August. He lifted the Barclays Premier League trophy last month - an English record 19th league title - and led the Red Devils to the Champions League final.
