Sunderland boss Bruce hopes to continue spending spree by signing United defender Brown
Sunderland have completed a £5million deal for Birmingham's Craig Gardner and hope to talk to Manchester United defender Wes Brown today.
Gardner's arrival follows on from South Korea international Ji Dong-won, 20, completing his £2million move from Chunnam Dragons.

David Healy has joined Glasgow Rangers on a permanent deal from Sunderland who have also released French defender Jean-Yves Mvoto to Oldham after a loan spell at Boundary Park last season.
