Blackburn owners Venky’s have sanctioned the first major transfer of the summer… for Gary Neville’s £5.5million mansion near Bolton.
The former Manchester United skipper is flogging his four-floor, seven bedroom house and the Rovers owners plan to snap it up.
The Indian-based firm plan to run their UK operation from the home once they have completed the purchase of the house which has been on the market for over 12 months.

The Raos family, who own the chicken-farming company, plan to move into the 90-acre property dubbed Neville Neville Land, but will need a gardener to alter the shrubs which are shaped to say ‘United’, according to the Mirror.
Along with the seven bedrooms come six bathrooms, an atrium, a gym, a large swimming pool and a cinema. There’s even a two-bedroom cottage on the site if there’s extra people staying over.
Neville announced his retirement from football earlier this year, taking up residency in the commentary box as pundit with Sky.
