United check out Sierra Leone striker Bangura after Newcastle drop interest

Manchester United are set to run the rule over AIK Solna striker Teteh Bangura this weekend.

The 21-year-old Sierra Leone striker was close to securing a move to Newcastle last month but work permit issues delayed talks and Newcastle have pursued other targets, notably Paris St Germain's Mevlut Erding.

However, United scout Martin Ferguson is expected to watch Bangura against Elfsborg this weekend.
